“Absolutely perfect experience with this company. We just finished our move and everything was done professionally, carefully, and expeditiously.”
A lot of Durham apartment moves are about access, not weight. A downtown tobacco-warehouse loft means a freight elevator you have to reserve and a dock window the building enforces. A Trinity Park or Old North Durham walk-up means narrow stairs and a tight landing. A Morrisville or Southpoint townhome means a long carry from the visitor lot. We handle each one differently, and we plan it before the truck leaves our yard.
Buildings near Duke and NCCU usually want a certificate of insurance on file before your move date. Tell our office manager Tasha which complex you are in and we send the COI straight to property management — no scramble the morning of.
What an apartment move runs
Apartment pricing follows the same flat bands as our other local work, so you know the number before move day. Stairs and long carries are folded into the written quote, not sprung on you after.
| Apartment size | Flat-price band |
|---|---|
| Studio | $320 – $520 |
| 1-bedroom | $520 – $840 |
| 2-bedroom | $880 – $1,420 |
| Hourly option (2 movers + truck) | $129/hr |
A $99 deposit holds your move date and applies to the total. We bring blankets, dollies, and shrink wrap on every truck, and your goods are covered up to $1,000,000 per shipment.
What is not included
To keep the quote straight, a few items live outside the base price and we mention them on the call.
- Boxing up your kitchen and closets — add full-pack or partial-pack if you would rather we handle it.
- Elevator-reservation or COI fees some buildings charge their tenants directly.
- Trash and bulk disposal of furniture you are not keeping.
- Specialty pieces like a piano or large safe, from $349.
Give us the building name, the floor, and whether there is an elevator, and the written price covers exactly the move you are doing.
