Estimates and binding quotes
A phone or walkthrough estimate is our good-faith read of your job based on the inventory and access you describe. A binding written quote — which we provide for long-distance moves and on request for local ones — locks the price, provided the actual inventory, access, and conditions match what you told us. If you add items, change the address, or the access turns out different (an elevator that is out, a flight of stairs you did not mention), the price may be adjusted, and we will tell you before we proceed.
Deposit and cancellation
A $99 deposit reserves your date and is applied to your final balance. If you cancel with reasonable notice, we refund the deposit. Same-day or no-notice cancellations may forfeit it, since the truck and crew were held for you. Rescheduling is free when space allows.
Liability for your belongings
- Released value is included at no charge: $0.60 per pound per item, the federal standard.
- Full-value protection is available as a paid upgrade for replacement-level coverage.
- We carry up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment.
Your responsibilities
Please have items packed and ready unless you have hired us to pack, point out anything fragile or high-value, and make sure we have clear access and any required building certificates of insurance arranged. We are not responsible for damage to items you packed yourself unless our crew caused it, or for inherent issues in pressboard furniture and previously repaired pieces.
Payment and governing law
Payment is due on delivery unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept standard payment methods, which we will confirm when you book. These terms, and any dispute arising from your move, are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Questions? Call (888) 711-4778.
